I just don’t get what happened to the direction of the company. Just giving guys matches because they want them and not because it’s the most entertaining option is an interesting way to book.
Nobody gives a fukk about Bryan or edge wrestling random no names. If they’re gonna do that they could at least take a few weeks and build some kinda story around it

If Tony Khan keeps booking all of those Japanese "legends" and luchadors in random dream matches, then he'll have a hard time filling an Applebee's.Told Khan to use daily's place every other week instead

Dude doesn't know the business and it shows. Instead of focusing on just allowing capable bookers to form the stories and shows, he wanted so badly to have an award that means donkey dikk to the consensus of making a buck.
Then you have yes men and dikkriders that go off of the sheets claiming "WB LUVS IT MAGGIE". If they did, why it's not on MAX
Tony became the reason why the promotion is what it is, because TBF...its not a bad promotion on a wrestling perspective. The wrestling and workrate is covered, but what happens next after the bangers?
- You can't book random ass wrestlers and expect to have asses into seats.
- You can't keep buying toys and expecting to fulfill an imagination to Joe Blows that are still trying to figure out "WTF is a Hangman"
- You can't allow the diehard cock gobblers to push the direction of a company with no direction
- A show that was originally supposed to be an annual event, should have just stayed that way.
But here we are with another "banger", tickets giving out because the original prices are fukking laughable with the state of the roster, and heatless feuds, random matches, and a crippled Japanese wrestling scene because Khan seen the loophole of the yen being down...thus territory cleaning ala Mcmahon.

WWE does not need Mercedes or Okada while AEW definitely needs them and it is why Tony Khan probably threw big bags at both of them. This announcement is probably the singing of one of them.
The crazy thing about this is the singing of big superstars will never matter unless they are put in good storylines. Once the honeymoon phase is over for these superstars debuts in AEW the viewers/ratings will drop.
Once AEW is able to consistently make matches have that big fight feel, that is when they will be great again.

Bottom line, the only people benefitting from AEW....are the exact same people that debutted at Wrestlemania, NXT, Survivor Series, and Royal Rumble.

The booking random wrestlers thing is weird to me because it doesn’t translate to ratings or interest when that’s supposed to be the goal of having the shyt on tv in the first place? The never ending feuds and having people like Callis and jericho overshadowing the young guys they should be buidling around is an issue too.
