its something the tastemakers and "cool kids" publicly talk about. its not some hidden embarrassing pass time anymore lol.. shyt I was listening to Jeff Teague and 'nem a few days ago and they broke out into a whole wrestling conversation outta nowhere.
You got grown adults that argue over comic book movies and those arguments are much worse than the back and forth on here.
I would say the CM Punk in 2011 and Bryne in 2014 to seal the deal and shift wrestling back to the "cool again" steez. Hell, my old manager was asking me who was going to win at WM and I was like .
It why they taking the more urban approachI really wonder how long it's gonna last tho.. or if it'll even go away? lol I guess that really just depends on how pop culture shifts..
for the longest time, being into anime was some shyt people laughed at. We grew up on Dragon Ball Z and shyt, but once we were in high school and saw weird nikkas tryna turn into super saiyans and running like Naruto, it turned into some shyt you'd get roasted for... I don't know if it was the influx or rappers like Uzi and Carti making obscure anime references and random fascination with japanese culture, but these days nikkas brag about the anime they're into like its a badge of honor or some shyt lol. its not really just the weird side pocket of cosplay weirdos anymore
from what i'm seeing, WWE having that kinda run right now. I don't know if its from having people like ishowspeed affiliated, or having the Sexyy Red's and Metro Boomin's pop out, but wrestling is something nikkas aren't running away from in conversations anymore.
