It looks like a well-known ECW Original could soon be turning up in All Elite Wrestling (AEW).

Tommy Dreamer recently appeared as a guest on the Busted Open Radio program and spoke about his involvement in the ALL IN pay-per-view and his thoughts on the new AEW movement.

Regarding the possibility of working with AEW, Dreamer stated, "I have spoken with Matt [Jackson] and Cody [Rhodes] about doing stuff there. I said whenever you guys need me I'm happy to help."

Dreamer continued, talking about how The Young Bucks have helped him out with his House Of Hardcore (HOH) promotion, so he is happy to return the favor.

"Nick and Matt helped House of Hardcore in the early stages, I always saw them as main eventers," said Dreamer of the decorated tag-team veterans. "If there are any two individuals that, If I had sons, I'd want them to be like them. They are two great human beings."

As far as Cody is concerned, Dreamer noted that his father was his hero and he has known Cody since he was a youngster.

"Cody, I've known him since he's a little kid, his father was my hero, my friend," Dreamer said. "I will do anything for those guys because I love them. They want me there, I'm there, if there's not a spot for me, I get it."

Shane Strickland is the latest highly regarded wrestler to enter free agency in the constantly evolving pro wrestling landscape.

Strickland took to social media on Tuesday to announce that he is "Officially a free agent again." He also noted that he has some dates open for independent bookings in February, March and April.

Back in August, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that WWE was interested in Strickland. In November, PWInsider.com reported that Strickland was expected to be included in the next class to report to the WWE Performance Center. Things were later complicated due to him being under contract with the Lucha Underground promotion, where he played the "Killshot" character.

:ohhh: sounds like this little company might make it now

He's more known around the world than any of those flippy vanilla midget wrestlers

Dreamer=ECW Terry Funk

The pop when Tommy Dreamer appears and beats Cody Rhodes in the main event :banderas:

And if the young bucks want smoke Dreamer can make the call to Billy Gunn

Either way I'm really excited about AEW now, thanks for the news :salute:

Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned Mike and Maria Kannellis recently asked for WWE officials to release them from their contracts.

Sources tell us the Kanellis’ have been unhappy with the way they’ve been used in WWE for awhile and finally made the decision a few weeks ago to request their releases.

Mike Kanellis has also once again started selling new shirts on Pro Wrestling Tees.

Mike and Maria Kannellis signed with WWE in April of 2017 and debuted in June at Money in the Bank. Months later, Mike revealed he had been battling addiction and Maria announced she was pregnant. The duo weren’t used much on TV after that, until recently resurfacing on 205 Live.

According to CageMatch.net, Mike Kanellis wrestled on SmackDown Live a total of four times since signing with WWE. The rest of his appearances were largely relegated to Main Event and live events.

FYI — WWE doesn’t always grant release requests, so it’s possible nothing comes of this and the couple are simply paid to sit at home until the deal expires.
