He's unplayable at center, teams are putting empty gym type numbers on Towns. When rim protection is bad it affects perimeter defense too. Start Simms, Huk, OG, shyt anybody else at center.

It’s like they forgot why the TWolves traded all that for Gobert, they needed someone to cover center defensively cause KAT couldn’t

Yep, it’s why the Wolves have an over .500 record atm.

They have their anchor at the Center position healthy.

Again, I’ll keep saying it - if the Knicks hopes for a championship run rely on Mitchell Robinson staying healthy, we’re in deep fukking trouble.

We’ve lost our gritty defensive identity :francis:

I would honestly take a serious look about give Huk some minutes at the five next to Towns at least for like 8-10 minutes to see how things look
its funny because a few games back Huk was playin 4th quarter mins in a close game and holding his own. Thibs has only played him in garbage mins since lol

We did. That’s the trade off when you have KAT and lose IHart & Randle

We all see it with our eyes but this is worse than I could have imagined. Turner was lightning this nikka the fukk up yesterday

We saw this yesterday in the fourth against Indiana. This is all time terrible defense

This is why I don't trust defensive stats. There's no way KAT's numbers are THAT bad.

I'd also shout out the Athletic's article on what's gone wrong with the Knicks' defense, because it mentions chemistry and perimeter defensive shortcomings that sometimes drag KAT out of position and make him look like the problem.

I have to keep reminding myself that this pattern has repeated every year of Thibs' tenure. His teams always take a couple months to figure out how to play functional defense, between the defenders gelling and Thibs making tweaks and adjustments (I expect we'll see less drop coverage from KAT after the ten game mark).

I have no problems with Mikal and Hart but OG is so damn scary that it’s like tick tick tick. I need Precious back quickly so the 15-22 minutes can be spread around

Been saying that Huk should start at C with Big Pụssy at the 4 until Precious comes back.

Thibs not trusting his bench with Kolek and Duece to give them more minutes is problematic....

So problematic that if he keeps running his starters at 38 to 40+ min, he needs to be fired before January to prevent injuries.

alright New York let's do this !!

I really don't understand why the coach plays the same players for massive reasons and makes some subs... I agree with Inside the NBA on this
