why is it okay for nolan to re-imagine these characters but not anyone else? why can ras al ghul be an english sensei who trains bruce wayne but dr doom can't be an anti social computer nerd?

obviously this new fantastic four is another "re-imagining" type deal so expect more things being changed.

Nolan's interpretation stayed true to the "soul" of the Batman comics while resurrecting the critical reputation of the franchise that had been b*stardized beyond recognition by Batman & Robin. He took the mythology of the characters very seriously.


Meanwhile Everything that has been so far known of this reboot makes it even worse than the two movies preceding. Changing Johnny Storm's race is one thing (I personally didn't like it because instead of adapting ACTUAL black superheroes for film, Hollywood has decided for the most part to just put established Cac characters in Blackface. Which is lazy as fukk) but fukking with the origins of Victor Von Doom is damn near sacrilege. He is THE iconic nemesis of the FF Comics.
