but really think about it, why is Palestinian statehood necessary? Israel and Egypt should just impose their will on them and force them one way or the other

No good. If the Palestinian government is dismantled and they become Israelis, they will have access to Israelis inside the green line. And the amount of suicide bombings, stabbing babies to death, and other crazy shyt they do will increase tenfold.

And of course Palestinian statehood is not necessary (although given their insistence on having one, it is). Their culture is no different from Jordanian culture. Jordan should feel free to annex the West Bank.

Great in theory except for the fact that neither Egypt nor Jordan want anything to do with the Palestinians. They spit rhetoric about the evil Israelis yet they don't want to truly help themselves. That should tell you something.
