No magic technology is coming to save us. Our only saving grace would be reducing our standards of living at the expense of the economy. This isn't politically feasible in the slightest.
We're the generation that would have had to sacrifice our comfortable to lives in order to avoid the world becoming a literal hell for our children, but we're not going to do it. So here we are. We're going to pump emissions into the atmosphere, disrupt natural habitats until this whole act comes crashing down and nature forces us (or whose ever left remaining at that point) to live within our means.

Electric cars fix large parts of this. The countries polluting the most per capita are all digging for oil.

The earth pollutes itself regardless what we do. The world will be fine. U talking about next generation like we only have 50 years left or some shyt. While I agree we should do more to keep shyt clean, the last thing that will destroy this world is us. The earth has seen worse.

What's the point of even saying this? Is there any arguement presented here to suggest that earth itself wont be fine? We're talking about the impact that human induced climate change will have on people.

What's the point of making shyt up like saying our generation will be the last of it's kind before all hell breaks loose?

The earth itself has shown evidence that it will survive and has during worse times.

But we're not talking about earth. We're talking about people. Humans will not be able to adapt at the speed necessary to prevent collapse. And thats the whole point.

And I'm saying our generation is the last generation that can make the necessary sacrifices in order to prevent the worst aspects of human induced climate change

I find interesting the article sole focus on Energy itself, and not including reducing the footprint of the Beef Industry. I get there is a ton of factors all adding up, but fossil fuels isn't the only factor.
