As someone who's familiar with both rosters, it's not that the STARDOM joshi are unattractive, because they are very attractive, but they're missing the sex appeal in comparison to the TNA Knockouts.

Yeah, it's a big cultural different in sex appeal. If I were to pit any women from Stardom against Rosemary, Havok, Alisha, Jody or KiLynn, they'll have a chance. However, with the rest of the Knockouts, then they struggle outside of a few women.
