Tito Ortiz headed to TNA? Behind August 1st Mystery video's?

It was just announced on the Bellator MMA event on Spike TV that Quinton “Rampage” Jackson would not be fighting Roy Jones Jr. in a boxing match on pay-per-view at the end of the year as rumored. Instead, it will be Rampage in his home, the cage, fighting former friend and training partner, and the newest surprise addition to the Bellator MMA roster, Tito Ortiz.

Ortiz, who was retired, has signed a deal to fight for Bellator MMA, his first MMA home outside of the UFC in his career. While unconfirmed, it is possible Ortiz signed a joint deal with TNA iMPACT! Wrestling, as the MMA star has worked for the organization in the past with King Mo and Rampage Jackson. This is likely another “package deal” that will include Tito Ortiz in TNA as well.

Could Ortiz be the #August1Warning mystery-man? It sure looks that way but tune in to find out on Thursday’s edition of TNA iMPACT! Wrestling on Spike TV.

Why is TNA so enamored with these MMA dudes?
At the very least they should wait to see if the MMA experiment works before signing more than one. The two they have already aint done jack shyt since the day they were signed.

I dunno that it's necessarily TNA, could be Spike TV's line of thinking. They likely still think Tito could draw numbers like he did back in 06 when he was beating the piss outta Ken Shamrock

Yeah, even though this has a pretty stale feel to it at this point and these dudes are clearly past their primes, I gotta admit I find the possibilities here oddly intriguing. I'm a fan of both Rampage and Tito as personalities. I just hope they're not just phoning it in to collect a paycheck.

The Tito idea is mad sketchy because when he was in UFC he cut some "money" promo's in terms of selling fights like he did with Chuck & Shamrock but I've seen him sound god awful other times as well. But @ him actually wrestling. Frail motherfukker always makes up some bullshyt injury when he doesn't want to do shyt like "I cracked my skull, broke my neck, my knee, broke my a b c x y z vertebrae too"

Maybe he'll bring in his cum bucket wife and get that slore involved some-how which could add to some fukkery

So far MMA guys in wrestling have been generally successful.

They have the base for being great in the ring just need to learn basics and they already do promos.
