I agree. Basically back in colonial and imperial times, Christianity was synonymous with ideals if being white. Missionaries were really telling people to abandon the religions and the cultures of their ancestors to become Christian and therefore white. Take a look at Asian, native, and black people who have converted to western religion- they basically become clones of Europeans. I remember when I was a kid all if those televangelists said African masks who possessed. So my mom got rid of of all of our decor. I know people sincerely believe bit looking back it's a way of telling people anything non white is not normal and is bad...and can send you to hell. "Things Fall Apart" us a good fictional read that gives perspective in this.

Actually, I do have to make this disclaimer. It appears Tim Wise didn't say Jesus, but 'white jesus'. He's saying Jesus wasn't white which is correct. Misleading title OP...

See my last post. That was a misleading title because he was referring to white Jesus, not Jesus as he is truly described.

ust can't push myself to believe that, if only for my own well being. That kind of negativity trains your brain to be paranoid to the point of depression and anger and doesn't allow you to just be.
