Most known for helping set off the East vs West Coast feud, I think this track overshadowed his catalogue.


His career went back to the day’s of Ultramagnetic. Even put out a dope album with Kool Keith in the mid-90s that’s almost impossible to find on vinyl.



And he put out a lot of hardcore material that gets overlooked. This posthumous release was put out last year:

though i think i enjoyed 80's tim more than 90's tim, because out of nowhere he started doing that yes-i bless-finesse-i guess-don't test, big daddy kane style..... i criticized him often for it back then

but i ain't gonna front secret fantasies off penicillin on wax was my shyt. when he started talking about fukking envogue i lost it lol

Yeah he kind’ve got caught in that post-Big Daddy Kane/pre-Nas era of early 90s rap. Like Chubb Rock and Brand Nubian.

Eh... he was never that dope. Especially when you consider the talent pool that existed during his era. He was rated right about where he needed to be.
