Keep your head up @Brooklynzson. My father in law just passed from cancer a few weeks back. You and your fam are in our prayers, b.
Great story. Sounds like a good person and we need more people like that. Condolences and best wishes to you and your family. People you love live on forever within you. Stay up.Buried my Daddy yesterday. He was the greatest man I've ever known & the only man I've ever looked up to. THere's nobody that knows him that can say he didn't help them out at least once in their life. Most generous person i've ever met. He's given away cars (even took my car in high school to give to his boy that needed a car), money, words of encouragement, whatever he could to friends & family in need. Anytime his friends were in town he'd never let them stay at a hotel. Always fixing or remodeling someones house or something for free and never wanting or asking for anything in return. I remember once he came to NY to get me to take me to Miami for christmas break and we stopped by one of his homegirls crib and her son or nephew was there. She was telling him how he was getting in to trouble & shyt. So my pops asked dude if he ever been to Miami and he was like nah, he has never left NY. So my pops told him pack a bag lets go. He looked at my pops crazy and said he didn't have any money or nothing. My pops told him don't worry about nothing and he took him with us to Miami for 2 weeks and treated him like he knew him all his life. He did it to talk some sense into him and show him that there's more to life than the bullshyt he was getting into. Thats the type of nikka he was, I got stories for days. He was my daddy, my best friend, my hero. I am who i am today because I've basically been emulating him all my life. He taught me everything. I miss him like crazy.
I appreciate all words of encouragement/sympathy from ya'll in this thread, via pm, text etc. I appreciate those of you that donated to help with the funeral costs too. Its the holiday season and everyone has their own family and bills and what not, but yall still gave to help me bury my daddy, that shyt means a lot to me, words can't even express it. Thank you all.
