The single most firing worthy move I’ve ever seen a GM make in the league. Deliberately take a worse deal to spite your own player because your ego demands that you dictate the terms of the trade :trash:. Haven’t they already gotten rid of two guys from the trade?
They didn’t want any of your assets. But they talked to other teams about rerouting Hiero and they said nobody was interested in acquiring him. Not for any decent assets, the same with Robinson or Lowry. And yep they trade Jrue for two unprotected FRP’s and Robin Williams and Brogdon(who they also traded for Demi Advija, whose nice.

The Milwaukee package definitely turn led out to be the better haul. Miami offered three Frp’s and that’s what they ended up eventually getting with the Milwaukee trade. Plus the knock on the Miami trade was they never end up in the lottery. Miami never tanks. That’s what the Portland local media kept saying and the fanbase listened and agreed. That tweet came out about the last time Miami had a top 9 draft pick was Michael Beasley and the. DWade before that. That’s tow selections inside the top 10 in 30 years:beli:

We don’t need to rehash the Dame trade. Bill Simmons already admitted to there being collusion. Portland refused to trade Dame to Miami. It didn’t matter what assets we had available.

Team sucks ass, and are leaning on the finals run 2 years ago, Riley legacy and Wades Statue for positive fan sentiment and to sell tickets. Jimmy gone after this year or the deadline, heat could be tanking for cooper....but would end up with the #2 pick.

  • Jimmy was jimmying.
  • Bam wasnt quite bamming but did enough
  • Herro herroed
  • Terry was scarry enough

It's a shame we needed to be clicking on damn near all cylinders to beat the freakin Hornets. :francis:Or am I under estimating the Hornets? :jbhmm:
It's early in the season but I do love the new and improved Jovic, tho. Looking like a poor man's Bogdan Bogdanović thus far. I'm seeing the growth, tho.

And we need a PG for real. Rozier aint it. Good player but he's not a PG. Even tho we have so many ball handlers on the team we can get away with not having a pure CP3-esque PG but we need one for sure.

Pros:
— Having multiple 20pt threats in the starting lineup takes the pressure off of Jimmy having to be superhuman to carry us across the finish line.
— Spo actually allowing Nico to be a Point Center rather than trying to play him like a traditional big.
— Hero seems to be playing motivated rather than playing like he gotta prove something (there is a difference) and tweaking his game accordingly.

Cons:
— Bam in a slump. He can contribute in other ways and will probably work himself out of it, but not liking the slow start so far.

— These defensive lapses have been cropping up since last year. They tightened up a bit, but it’s still glaring when you’re used to better execution.

— The playmaking, while improved, still needs work. Especially with more lob threats/cutters in rotation

Spo has always been open to let players play to their strengths and even experiment. Thus why he always stressed “position-less basketball”. Bam, Bosh and hell, even Whiteside had been allowed to bring the ball up at times without repercussions from the coaching staff
