Two Mississippi men were arrested Tuesday after they were found with multiple drugs in a car passing through the George Wallace Tunnel while the driver was "double texting," and a 3-year-old sat in the backseat, according to the Mobile County Sheriff's Office.
Nearly $5,000 was found in the car's glove compartment. An unlabeled pill bottle had "several Xanax" inside. Dartavious Moore, who was in the front passenger seat, had an ounce of marijuana hidden in his underwear, according to Myles.
Two women and a 3-year-old were sitting in the car's backseat. The women and the child were released while Dandre Moore and Dartavious Moore were arrested, officials said.
Dandre Moore was charged with illegal possession of the prescription drug Xanax and possession of a controlled substance. Dartavious Moore was charged with first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of a controlled substance.
