Overall your point is still correct. Players do directly model their game after Kobe and KD more than LeBron.

I do think part of that is overall presence for iso-scoring and that what LeBron does is more difficult to replicate.

At the end of the day the game is still about aesthetics first, winning 2nd.

Nobody wants to watch domination in any sport if the sport had zero flashiness.

Aesthetics accounts for a lot more than NBA Twitter or whoever think.

Aesthetics and flashiness draw in a casual audience, an audience that was once full of current NBA players when they decided that's what they want to do.

For sure you respect winning and effectiveness, but none of that would matter if there wasn't some "Oh shyt!" expressions every now and then.

Aesthetics do make for the best quality product - if sports wasn't aesthetic far fewer people would watch sports.
