its the japanese version, but i really feel like america dropped the ball as far as the full impact of this scene goes, the original music added so much more emotion, coupled with the fact of how it introduced a mysterious new saiyan who made freeza scared, this scene is undoubtfully the best scene in dragon ball z history.

Personally I feel this way about English dubs in general.
I didn't even realize how bad they were until I started watching in Japanese w/ Eng subtitles then tried going back to watch in English.
Japanese voice actors put way more emotion into their voices. Perfect examples would be Attack on Titan & Hunter x Hunter.

I usually consider DragonBall Z to be one of the few rare exceptions but I agree with you on how the soundtrack adds more emotional depth to this particular scene.
