The problem is people calling it government control as if the government is the problem. The government is a concept and tool meant to represent the power of the people. The problem is not the government per se, but the fact that government has been hijacked and turned into a tool of oppression. So instead of describing the government acting against people's interests to control people, it's better to call out specifically the interest/lobby groups behind the government who have hijacked the government using their money and power. Then you see who the real problem is and that you shouldn't just criticize politics but the lifestyles and belief systems of the people participating and dominating the domain that people have come to call politics. Then you see that instead of focusing on just "politics" we should be focusing on the corporate world and the people we know in everyday life who participate in that world without any morals or solidarity to common people. Those "regular" people are the problem as much as corrupt politicians.
