but what would stop Person A from getting a job at a large business, like Chik Fil-A, and "unintentionally" spilling a lot of coffee on their friend, Person B, so Person B can sue Chik Fil-A and win big?
Person A will be charged with what? reckless behavior or something? Let's even say Person A serves 5 years in prison. But Person B received 2 million in the case, and they intended to split it. So when Person A gets out of jail, he gets 1 mill and gets the fukk outta dodge and lives comfortably for the rest of his life in Canada or something.
"Liebeck v. McDonald's Restaurants,[1] also known as the McDonald's coffee case and the hot coffee lawsuit, is a 1994 product liability lawsuit that became a flashpoint in the debate in the U.S. over tort reform after a jury awarded $160,000[2] to cover medical expenses and compensatory damages (in addition to $2.7 million in punitive damages) to Stella Liebeck who suffered third degree burns in her pelvic region when she spilled hot coffee purchased from fast food restaurant McDonald's."
It was the woman's fault for spilling the coffee on herself yet she still won.
Soooooooo...how would this not work?
I know this is fraud but how would they be able to prove it? Because Chik Fil A employees are known to bring you your food after you order it...so an accidental spilling may very much occur
Speak on it.
