Well yeah if you have functioning eyes of course you get feedback from what you're looking st. But just like food, just because it looks good doesn't mean it will be good for you or something you are willing to jump through hoops for.

Conversely someone overly attached with outer appearance can be extremely disciplined or extremely shallow

I, for one, welcome our new space overlords.
Yes, those who present without flaws/vulnerability exude confidence which impresses the next stranger. It always benefits you when people don't see an obvious button they could press to 'get you'.

But if you appear helpless and scared people see weakness. Women automatically see a man who would not be able to protect/vouch for them and men see a person they would easily dominate.

Obviosly all these things aren't actually said irl. In real life people mostly won't tell you how they feel, they will show it through actions.

It's a tough world in general, So not looking like your weaknesses can be beneficial.
