I have no knowledge of the area, or the tradition brehs...I dont really even know what mardi gras is...it just looks like a big parade with a bunch of drunk cacs on a strip...But one of my friends got the idea to go, so i said i was down...What exactly goes down?

What is there to do in new orleans?

is cajun food really poppin like that brehs?

i read mardi gras is like a month long? when is the best time to actually be there?

where are the touristy areas?? hotels..etc..? not trying to visit them wards i hear about in old cash money songs :lupe:

Nothing like N.O and mardi gras in the United States. Its the most foul, trashy, and fun thing you'll experience if you into drunk chicks and crowds and random nudity.

You gotta know what parades and where to hit up though...or its just alot of dancing and drinking. Which still aint bad:yeshrug:

But yeah, if your planning on going to mardi gras those ticket prices, hotel rooms, and plane tickets are gonna cost ya. Start looking now..

Use priceline, name your price say you want to stay in the Quarter. Only a couple of spots in the on bourbon have good cajun food. Eat at Huck finns, Have a burger and potato from Port of Call, Ger wings from the wing shack and ghetto punch. Go down Market street great restaurants there like Zeas. Get some beignets.

It will be super packed there are different parades with different meanings. My faves are Endymion and of course the Zulu

Edit: Surrey's cafe for breakfast and a smoothie or juice to detox.
