I was in Lowes on Monday evening and they already had out the entire christmas section on display, fake trees, aisles of decorations, a huge santa and candy cane inflatables, etc. As I walked by it, a clerk asked if I needed assistance, and I said "No, but can we at least get past Halloween first " She chuckled.

Thanksgiving is basically a day to sell turkeys, hams, cooking equipment and buy stuff on black Friday. No need to put out decorations or even show commercials for the holiday itself. Still love that warm feeling of family on T-day though. I'm old so Christmas is mostly buying shyt now.
