Gary Williams recruited him off what he was doing in high school. He was then invited to one of the summer camps and it was clear that it was a bridge too far for him.

Williams rescinded the scholarship a little later and Goodman ended up at Towson, iirc.

pretty standard. happens in football a lot too. Offer a kid after his jr season but then the next year when that sr tape comes in sometimes they didn't progress like expected or even regressed a little and the school pulls the offer even if the kid was committed. Honestly it's usually for the best too. Kids want prestige but if a staff is honest and saying they don't think he can play at their level it's usually beneficial for them to find a school better suited for their talent level. If they want to actually play that is
