Uber rich people have run for president many times. But typically when they show zero experience or basic understanding of every day things normal people deal with, voters punish them. HW Bush famously didn't know how much a gallon of milk cost and flubbed a pretty basic question in a debate (leading to Clinton capitalizing). He lost the election. Yet with Trump there are no consequences. Earlier this year he claimed apples were $30. Yet despite never shopping at a grocery store and spending much of his business life fukking over workers, people magically believe he's for the common man. It's hilarious.
