Federal Funds Rate - 62 Year Historical Chart

I thought I was seeing rates in the 2-3% range not too long ago, now they're mid 4% range off a 0.25% fed rate raise???

:dead:
The fed has indicated roughly 5 more rate raises. Bond rates have already moved in that direction as cost of funds has risen.

In short, a 25 basis point raise is not equivalent to a 25bps lending rate increase. It is a function of both that, and anticipated raises and access to capital/money supply.
