Jamal Anderson was let go because of some pics someone took of him wasted at a bar I think. I wish he was still around because him and Lomas had great chemistry when they had a FT segment together.

ESPN likes to rotate the former players I guess. Kordell was good better than fukking Eric Mangini but I guess they need a former HC to point out certain things so guys like Kordell and John Ritchie while good aren't personalities ESPN would like to keep for the long haul.

all these guys mentioned here were mostly First take analysts. once First Take cut the budget to pay SAS and Skip more money, they were let go.

I hope they let Eric Mangini go...how the fukk this failure of all failures got a contract is beyond me. Poor coaching record, was a faux DC, is hated by everyone he coached, and has little respect amongst his peer group, why should the viewer listen to him?

I'd love to be an ESPN NFL analyst. I wonder what they get paid.

Granted, I am not qualified and would be talking crazy stuff, but that would gloss over 69% of the viewing audience anyway. The other 31% would be able to call me a liar or exaggeration king. More drama equals better ratings. I could say things like, "He should have caught that ball", "That's bad play calling", "Offensive line is weak", "He should have thrown the ball", "He should have held onto the ball". No matter what, you can say stuff that can't be refuted. When it gets more technical, that's where you can lose people or gain credibility, and for whatever reason, John Madden hasn't lost his credibility.

Lomas Brown has always been a First Take/Cold Pizza dude and he still on there, probably a bit too much seeing as how he adds nothing. I don't see Eric Allen that much and he used to be all over the network.

most of those dudes are lame personalities anyways...they need to get rid of some more people as far as im concerned (mark schlareth, although he sometimes makes legitimate points, merril hodge? trent dilfer :gag:), theyre hiring players just for the sake of them having the athletes on there

i dont complain too much cus id rather hear someone who actually played talk nonsense than a fat bum who never did shyt :yeshrug:

i remember when vick was complaining about how he was taking more (illegal) hits than anyone (QBs) and not getting near the calls as say a tom brady or peyton manning who takes less hits and trent dilfer refused to admit this was happening, even when TJ was showing the numbers and reading the rule book...im a white dude and that came off as cism too me lol but theres always gonna be dikkheads like dilfer and ppl like chris collinsworth on tv, for the fact that ppl hate them im pretty sure haha

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
there's only so much room. so while you have a jon richie on, when jerry rice says he wants a job, guess who's not getting renewed... now ray lewis is supposedly hired, you'll see a little less of 1 or 2 defensive guys. i'm thinking antonio pierce or somebody lessor. now the journalists usually stay a long time cause they pick the top of the list in either knowledge, insider info, or getting ratings. just like the nfl, sports talk and tv is a revolving door for players
