The words in my Word Pad files dont come out correctly

I had a word pad page saved in my old computer, that I transferred it to my new computer


but when I open that page up in my new computer the words are all funny looking...they all look like this :

how can I fix this sh*t?

Can you save the document as a ms word file (eg. .doc, .docx)

Try opening it in notepad first. Then copy and paste it in the current version of Word.
