The first one was nice, but the trailer for the sequel made it look like nothing but cheap jump scares.

Wasn't as good as the first one. It was

Too many jump scares, too many cheap scares that undercut a nice set up and nice context for the story even some interesting characters.

Also, I saw it for free so :whoknows:

I saw the first one in theaters…I honestly can't see anyone over the age of 12 or so thinking that it was a scary movie, or even a well made movie period….Cheaply shot and directed, poorly acted and scripted….

Exactly. The first one bored me to tears, I'm not wasting time on this cheaper sequel

if you dig cgi type scares..then yeah. no thanks.
i love the theatre play (went to it in london) and also seen the original tv movie adaptation, both were fantastic.

then the modern version with harry potter, had potential but fell short..what happened to british horror film makers???

i would only go to watch this one as it is made by hammer, a huge hammer fan, but no thanks,.
