Probably my favorite PPV mainevent

Incredible 5 minute or so sequence, so many amazing little moments. Vince's attempt to "run away" from Taker, how friggin high X Pac went for that chokeslam, the pop when Taker grabbed Stephanie by the throat, the finish in general. Just perfect.

Can't even lie. I said it multiple times but this right here ruined me as a kid. I don't think I'd ever been so pissed and hated a wrestler & faction as much as I hated HHH & the DX/McMahon regime after this. Even thought I was furious, I think both Rock & HHH came out of this looking great. The Rock overcame the odds and looked godly yet human which -- in combination with his charisma -- kept him hot with the crowd. HHH cemented his status as the best heel in the game & looked competent enough while still looking like a snake that weaseled his way to a victory he didn't deserve.


Those last 5 minutes was one of the most memorable emotional rollercoasters of my life.

That nikka H³ fought that brahma bull for an hour, had to keep an eye on HBK who was the referee in that match and then had to tackle Taker when he returned unexpectedly.

He deserved the title at the end
