The X-47B has landed -- and that's some big news.
The Northrop Grumman-built drone on Wednesday made a historic arrested landing on an aircraft carrier, the U.S. Navy tweeted just a little bit ago, presaging a new era for the use of unmanned aircraft in military operations.
Aircraft landings on a carrier are a tricky endeavor even for experienced pilots, as the flight deck -- not exactly spacious to start with, and crowded with planes, people, and gear -- rises, falls, and sways with the ocean waves. Today's landing brought a new wrinkle: the X-47B is designed to fly largely on its own, with no pilot aboard and with minimal intervention from shipboard operators.

i guess i'm in the same boat as you are.
the tech that is developed and implemented is nothing short of amazing...however the cost of this tech and how it is implemented is a problem.

how many other positive things could be achieved with just 10% of the money the military industrial complex uses?

the implementation of this tech it too often war...killing.

i love science and tech but i wish it would advance for some reason other than war but time and time again throughout human history,
the biggest advances in technology usually come out of military conflict....it speaks volumes about human nature.

shyt...even medical advances come from techniques and problems faced in war zones.

i'm all for medical advances but i wish it did not come from war....double edged sword.
