Originally proposed Sept. 25, 1789. Ratified May 7, 1992.

No law, varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Representatives, shall take effect, until an election of Representatives shall have intervened.

Thought it'd be nice to start from the back since I feel like these Amendments don't get mentioned much.

What are your thoughts on Amendment 27 ?

Basically, this amendment says that Congress can't give itself a raise.

Notice that this was proposed in 1789.

It was supposed to be part of the original Bill of Rights.

The Bill of Rights was supposed to be 12 Amendments, not 10
