I have only been making beats for a short time, but i notice that Producers/Beat Makers don't beef like rappers. it's not about "Who's the nicest" or who's #1 . There is nothing better than hearing a sick azz beat that someone else did. some sh*t that makes you say :damn: then :what: how did he flip the sample like that, or :wow: those drums, etc.

no disrespect to any battle rappers. :shaq: but Rap battles are all about disrespecting your opponent so dudes get emotional when their feelings get hurt and act like hoes :troll:

not producers. if anything it makes you want to step your game up. looking at the comments on the beat league so far, its all love. encouraging each other to get better. even when dudes get zero votes...its still love.

Maybe it comes with the persona of being a "rapper", but a lot of times the MCs that I know have this aura-of-grandeur around them when they post their shyt (literally) like its God-send. I guess rappers need to be confident, but it can be obnoxious and skew the feedback in a negative direction.

Not just on here, but on other boards that I frequent, producers/beatmakers are more humble when posting their material. Its refreshing. Even if the track is kinda lame, you'd rather give them a tip that might help them rather than shyt on them for trying.

Its not like there arent obnoxious beatmakers out there, cause there are....in droves....but overall, production forums have a more communal atmosphere :manny:

^^THIS x a million.

a HOT beat is like a great invention. "how he do dat? :ohhh:

i gotta step my game up.

a hot beat to another producer is INSPIRATIONAL.

thats why the best beats you've ever heard were usually made by multiple producers.

Producing is wayyyyyy harder than rapping. nikka our Momma's could rap:russ: Anybody can do that shyt. But producing is hard than a muthafukka.

We are more humble because we understand the effort that goes in to this shyt. I'm not gonna shyt on another nikkas beat because even if I don't like it, I understand and respect the time and effort it took t.o make it.

So much shyt is an Art in producing. Digging, drums, sequencing, mixing, etc....

Also, we are more tight knit because the producing community thrives on sharing. You will NEVER stop learning as a producer.

Rappers don't share shyt. It aint shyt to share. :heh:

I wish this sub forum was more active tho.

Lol at producing being harder to do than rapping..maybe if you cant make beats, then I agree it's harder..they're both the same..that's like saying football is harder then basketball..it's all a matter of skill..unlike this board I'm on..
