That video is bullshyt and the guy who made that video is full of shyt. All that video shows is that Lampley is a huge Pactard, which everyone already knew. And that De La Hoya footage just reflects the very split views on that De La Hoya/Trinidad fight. Does that make him racist? No. It's also irresponsible of the guy to lump them in with the coverage of Jack Johnson and black boxers back in the early 1900s.

And Lampley very frequently calls Roy the P4P king of the 90s and praises him every chance he gets.

They may be old geezers that are out of touch, but neither is racist.

I just wasted 30 minutes listening to a Floyd stan rant and cry, pretty much, because they dont praise Floyd's fighting style

And then he shows RJJ fights and says Oscar didnt fight like this when they fought 2 different skill level of opponents in their careers

Roy mainly fought bums so of course he is going to have plenty of highlight reel material, compared to Oscar mainly fighting top competition

Been watching hbo boxing for years, I really don't think Lampley is a racist. He's kissed Roy Jones' ass, Mayweather's, Emanuel Stewards' etc.

Reality is that Lampley is a major league dikkrider for certain fighters and always has been.
Merchant is just an old curmudgeon who has a specific style of fighting that he really loves and who in Floyd's early days on HBO, when he was not a very exciting fighter in or out of the ring, used to constantly bite Floyd's back out because his fights were dull as hell.
That doesn't make him racist, it just makes him an outspoken analyst.
