The Taliban stays shooting schoolchildren (as in people attending secular or government schools, not madrassas) over there, and does so pretty much indiscriminately. Those cowardly barbarians are scared that non-fundamentalist education will liberalize the population and make them irrelevant, which is the truth. They're thankful for every US bombing and drone strike that keeps the area chaotic enough that their rigid order is welcomed.

I agree... that's why I never said the West drops bombs to save girls like Malala. In fact, the West contributes to barbarism by fueling the Taliban with the sloppy bombs and drone strikes. Malala is against both Western bombs and the barbarity of the Taliban- that's the only way forward.

Then as now, Malala is a fly caught in a web. On the fateful day she was shot, Malala was supposed to die. But against all odds, she lived. And now she is a thorn in the Taliban's side. Those psychopath child murderers get no pity from me and deserve none from anyone else. They seek to tyrannize over people like Malala and deny her basic rights. Their letters are nothing more than excuses to murder and I hope their threats are turned in kind. If ever my child were murdered and I could do anything to avenge them, I would stop at nothing achieve that end. Let these insane fundamentalists burn in hellfire.
