"The presence of the Black Mafia Family in St. Louis resulted in a influx of african american owned businesses. The High profile, celebrity type lifesytle resulted in black-owned men's spa's, restaurants, car washes and clothing stores.

The Black Mafia Family eventually invested some of thier revenue into a chain of restaurants themselves, entitled "THE FISH HOUSE" inc.

The entertainment side of St. Louis benifited as well, as black St. Louis became more exclusive such as exotic strip clubs and nightclubs and restaurants that now offered valet services.

Nelly and the St. Lunatics whom were popular during this time had alot of thier women suppllied for thier music videos courtesy of BMF, such as the video for the song "Tip Drill".

lol off topic - I will never forget when I was in the A partying for new years and they came through the club we was at (I had no idea who they were at the time)....anyway it was at least 70-80 of these dudes all with the exact same matching black T-shirts that had "we still here" (or something like that)...each and every dude had his own btch - own bottles - own pre-rolled blunts - own tables....I swear I had never seen anything like it at the time...I was pretty much watching what they were doing for most of the night like ":lupe: who is these nggas:dwillhuh:??":what: :rudy::leostare::merchant::whoo::banderas::feedme::noah: :mjcry:

BMF's success was based on M.O.B (money over bullshyt)

and that bullshyt being byatches and petty issues such as regional differences which destroyed most black organizations like the "council" led by Nicky barnes...

crips , bloods, gd's all on one team....is how BMF did it

even in the rap industry...everybody from Jim Jones in the east..to Yuckmouth in the west...to Da Brat and Nelly in the midwest to Rick Ross in the south fukked with them...

that solidarity was more of a threat to the feds then thier actual activiites

Plus when you got bricks going for 17.5 it's pretty hard for cats to not shop with ya :manny:

Atlanta prosecuter Randy Csehy did say they had the highest purity of cocaine seen in the Atlanta area

and Meech first got on the DEA radar when he was detained in the presence of a Colombian national back in the 90s

but shyt really got

popping when they got that cali love from that cali plug

"Meech and Terry entered the market in a businesslike manner..they sat down with Atlanta major cocaine dealers and offered them a better price: 17,000 $ a kilo...they were able to undercut the competition cause they had access to such a vast supply"

BMF: The Rise and Fall of Big Meech and the Black Mafia Family

According to the transcripts....the Bricks were bought on consignment

the process was described in the BMF book as rather complex involving a network of labs and couriers across the nation:

"In the mid 1990s ..Terry and Meech were hooked up with a California Source ..who could plug them in witg a Mexican Connect who would supply them with Colombian Coke straight from Mexico.

Thanks to the Mexican connection..the Flenorys were able to move hundreds and occasionaly over one thousand bricks of cocaine a month.

There were two prices the brothers paid for cocaine...dependent on the payment plan...buying the kilos outright which was a BUY..or if they bought the bricks on CONSIGNMENT a pick up noq ..pay later arrangement..the price was upped..this deal was called a PUSH.

Regardless of the payment plan.the deal was for pure uncut cocaine.

And so the next stop for all the bricks was one of several labs that the brothers operated in Detroit..St. Louis...and Atlanta.

The labs were for processing ..workers had the task of breaking apart each kilo and removing 125 grams (an eighth of its tital weight)

The weight was.replaced or cut with a filler or comeback.

Both the cocaine and the filler and a liquid additive ned.Pro Scent was thrown into a food processor blended.

then workers used spatulas to spoon the mixture into a mold.

Finally a five ton hydraulic jack pressed the Kilo back together.

For every seven kilos cuz...blended and repressed..a new kilo would be formed out of grams thst had been removed.

ALL THE CUT KILOS WOULD BE 90 PERCENT PURE...

Sounds like a lot of work..but consider thst hundreds of kilos was being processed at each lab.

For every one thousand kilos cut...an additional 100 kilos were created!"
