What the hell is so good about that song?
I've heard a few ppl saying it was there favorite song on the album and I'm like

Because of the hype from here, its really the only song I gave a GOOOD and hard listen to (3x total.. twice back to back) just to see what the fukk you nikkaz was talkin about.
My conclusion is that its a throw away song for the most part. Not horrible, not memorable either.
Is there a particular line/verse/whatever you liked?
I'm trying here. I want to give this album a perfect score, but songs like this are reasons why I cannot. Not that anybody can make a perfect album.
Its only happened a handful of times in the history of hip-hop imo.
I'm not gonna get into albums right now tho.. (Ok, Liquid Swords being one of them)
I want to figure out if maybe it appeals to white people more?
Any white people out there, don't take offense. Its not a hate comment.

I got a hood mentality, and Roses never sounded like a song I would like.. and after hearing it, not sure why its being talked about as great?

But yo, when I listen to that track...I dont if he's going at Kelis, or if its another chick? Track's got a lot more resentment than the other Kelis record. Made me think he was getting at Carmen or something.

Then again he does mention seeing the girl in a movie...was it the actress that played Faith Evans?

listen to the whole verse my g..he's talkin bout how he met her...her race being mixed n all that..like..if u look up more facts about kelis..or if u already knew..u would know he's talkin at her...talkin bout how she's unstable...he's talkin bout how the judge let her get all kinda shyt when she the one who broke her vows....he's talkin bout how he wished they woulda worked out and lasted forever but it is what it is...he's talkin bout her personality and how she always thinks she's right and even when she's wrong she still wanted to fight and argue with him...he was callin her jealous and how she was jealous of people liking him and his success...sayin she wanted her own gwap and she wanted her own riches...so she used his like it was her own...he said he put her on a pedestal and thought she was a good queen to his king...but she wasn't what she said she was and she was a liar...


like I said..I think the nikka went in on her..lol..song was MAD more bitter than Bye Baby..which is prolly why he left it as a bonus track...
