Best Thom Yorke-related project in a minute. Love this album. Love Nigel too, but I think Sam does a way better job of handling Thom’s vocals here. IMO, Nigel’s cold and distant style works best for albums like Kid A or OK Computer, and less so for the warm and intimate energy that seems to be on display on this album. Shades of the Suspiria score in some of the tracks.

That switch-up in ‘Bending Hectic’ is insane. Jonny channeling whatever mode he was in when he was scoring ‘There Will Be Blood’ for the homie PTA. Glad my favorite director and one of my favorite musical tandems have such a tight-knit partnership.
