I never had the full game until I got the quake cd and cracked it with the help of a homie, who got me into piracy.

Before that the only full version of doom I had was the snes version.

Classic game through and through.

I had my 386 33mhz with an Ad-lib soundcard ready when it dropped on the local BBSes. My 2400 baud modem was on fire.

Classic game, I basically always have a copy of a doom and doom 2 source (gzdoom usually) port installed on any computer ive got.

DOOM popularized Team Deathmatch. I was heartbroken Eternal got rid of it. the most influential FPS of all time until Halo reinvented the console/controller game.

remember before games got the FPS moniker and they were just called "DOOM clones"? it was a genre defining moment.

I appreciate DOOM for all it inspired, one of the most important games in gaming history.
