The scope of U.S. gun deaths goes far beyond mass shootings. We're reaching a tipping point.

Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
A nice article and some charts from WaPo. We're approaching the level of gun violence that prompted us to pass the Assault Weapons ban in the 1990s.

While many of us realize that the leading cause of death for Black males between the ages of 1-44 is homicide, the second chart is still insane to look at.

:francis:

You can add up every other demo, double their numbers and it still won't be more than Blacks :scust:

shyt is an issue. I was just talking to my niece in Tallahassee yesterday and she said someone got shot and killed in her apartment complex last week.

Good thing she stays indoors and is moving outta that place

3 times in the past week I've read about shootings and shootouts taking place on Interstate 4. Multiple shootouts involving police. Someone got killed in my complex morning of July 4th. 2 people were shot dead at the dollar store close by me the week before that.

Looking around, I think the people of America are engaging in a civil war against each other, with no battle lines. Everybody vs everybody, we all hate each other
