Great show. That diner episode was so well written. The death episode was also a classic.

Last episode was the weakest I thought. That cat short story was weird. Was that supposed to be a reference to something else? I fully expected those cats to be gay lovers at that point of the story

Here's the way I took it, from the perspective of someone not familiar with the comic book universe:

I think what they were trying to show us is that Morpheus works on a "multiversal" level, kind of like The Watcher from "What If...".
He's not just the master of dreams in our universe, he's also the master of dreams in the "cat" universe and any other universes out there. I gathered that from the line in an earlier episode when he mentioned something like "the last time a Vortex appeared, I didn't act fast enough and it destroyed it's universe". So, I took it that Morpheus is above the level of any single universe.

Am I on the right track with that?

American Gods was trash to me. Show started off promising and then fell off. I wasn't a fan of the book either though. Never understood why it was so highly recommended.
Definitely pick up the comics if you're looking for more from this universe. LMK if you need a link.

I liked it, the back half was worse than the first for sure. Desire’s domain had me feeling uneasy as hell, come to find out I was too high. Took too much after the first hit ain’t do much

Neil gaiman came out and said that it might not get a season 2. It was popular but it wasn't quite popular enough for the money Netflix put in it as well as the subscription growth and retention that it was supposed to bring about.

As of right now it's kind of up in the air. From what I've heard future seasons would probably be more expensive just due to what happens in the story.


The fact that it got pretty weak towards the latter few episodes doesn't help it either.
