From Schefter- Chargers and Rams still discussing LA partnership. If Chargers move to LA, one source called a Raiders move to San Diego as “very viable.”

And more
When the inquiry about moving to San Diego came, Davis took a much different tack.

“San Diego has a team right now,” he said.

It’s a slight but very important difference. Davis knows he can’t go to San Antonio because it’s close to Houston but is also a traditional Cowboys stronghold so Jerry Jones will never let it happen. That means Davis is down to choosing between Oakland and San Diego. Right now the East Bay is not happening.

When asked what Oakland has to do to work out a deal and if the $100 million the NFL pledged to the process of getting a new stadium deal done there makes him optimistic, Davis was not exactly … well, optimistic.

“I don’t know what word to use,” said Davis. “Let’s just get to reality. They haven’t yet.”

Sounds a lot like the way Mark Fabiani and Dean Spanos would classify their dealings with San Diego and that means it’s likely reached a point of no return for the Raiders in Oakland. That means a move to America’s Finest City would be a big step up for the Silver and Black.

It would only be fitting for the Raiders to end up replacing the Chargers in San Diego. After all, the Chargers are the reason the Raiders even exist.

Wake.
Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. Mark ain't Al, if he was then the Raiders would be going to LA regardless of what the league wants. Just stay in Oakland if you can't get LA.

Easy to say when you don't own the team and can't get a stadium built in Oakland.

It'd be weird as hell to me too but if San Diego gonna build a stadium and Oakland won't... :yeshrug:

goodell crooked ass ruined the nfl

(corrupt)
Yeah usually the league is always good cause its only one team at a time that needs a new stadium but Goodell and the league f*cked up and over played their hand when three teams wanted new digs all at the same time.

There would still have to be a vote on the Raiders moving to SD. I think the league actually wants the Chargers to stay in SD and for the Raiders to potientially move in with the 49ers in Santa Clara. Two teams up North and two teams in the South. Plus they want SD to still be an NFL town.

-Looking back at all this how dumb was it for both the Rams and Raiders to leave LA in the first place? Especially the Raiders cause the Rams were way the f*ck out in Anahiem and the Raiders had all of LA all to themselves.. plus I believe the Rams announced that they were leaving LA before the Raiders followed suit to leave to Oakland. Now years later we're in the worst stadium in the league with sewage problems, playing on a baseball diamond, and as of right now an unsigned lease. I love you Al Davis but wtf were you smoking 20 years ago:what:

And as for the Chargers.. you had 20 years to take over the entire Southern California market. LA didn't have a f*cking team for 21 years and you have no presence whatsoever in LA. Should've put some billboards up in LA plus lets not forget to the south of them is Tijuana- don't sleep, that's a population of 1.6 million people many who could cross the boarder to come to games. But no presence there either. So combine LA, SD, and Baja Mexico metro regions together and you're looking at damn near 26 million people and you got the only NFL game in town for 20 years and now you're smaller than you've ever been. :mjcry:

Raiders have been failing to get a stadium since the fukking 60s.

The political landscape of Cali is different as well. Not to mention the finances of the state. Changing demographics of Oakland as well. Can't compare what owners do especially in other states.

A taxpayer funded stadium is not gettin approved in Cali.

I heard SD could get a stadium built if they do a new hotel tax. Its a travel destination, has Comic Con, Sea World, the Zoo, etc. Say you get a hotel in the city they would add an extra $3 tax per day added to your bill. Seattle did it, that's how they got their stadiums built. But the city of Oakland isn't a tourist town.. SF is. I think the biggest obstacle is the A's being in the Coliseum. Get the A's out and then they could start doing something- maybe even a major refurbish job.

don't the chargers want a new stadium tho? or is it all the owner just wanting LA, cause it doesn't make sense to build a stadium for one team and not the other. or for the raiders to move from one dump to another
