Just consider that:

9 months into his presidency the US is hit with the worst terrorist attack in it's history despite the fact that there were numerous signs and warnings that it was going to happen

Invades Iraq under false pretence s (wmd) ,destabilized an entire region, 6000 lives lost a trillion dollars BORROWED....FOR NO REASON and NO GAIN WHATSOEVER....

Worst handling of a natural disaster of any president in modern history ( Hurricane Katrina) killing hundreds unnecessarily and displacing tens of thousands of Americans forever

Oversees the collapse of the American economy and the bottom virtually drop out of the stock market and housing market

Anyone who voted for this fukkin waste of space and embarrassment to our country should be ashamed of themselves:pacspit:

I used to think that when I was living through his presidency but I think people will eventually get over it sooner than I thought.. that is to say we can argue forever but the actual damage both at home and abroad will be history in a decade or two

And consider that after 9/11 we had the entire world on our side. We could've accomplished so much with that but Bush burned that goodwill into the ground.

Yep, basically all of the Western world was siding 100% with the US at that point. Somewhat too much IMO (but that's besides this thread's point) but that time was perfect to ally forces. But they took that sympathy and basically saw it as carte blanche to do whatever they wanted. By the Iraq war hardly any sympathy was left, the most striking example was France who went from intellectuals saying "We are all Americans" to being the main opposition to the invasion of Iraq. Obama has helped somewhat, but the financial crisis, the Tea Party, Birthers, Palin, Gingrich and and other rep loonies still tip the balance negatively. :yeshrug:

Breh, you must have me confused. I think the man should be tried for war crimes and investigated for lying to the American people.

The only thing positive I ever mention about Bush is his African initiative to combat HIV and AIDS in Africa, which by some estimates has already saved over a million lives there and couple potentially save up to 20 million lives. I'll give him props for that all day, everyday.

Blaming George W. Bush for 9/11 or Hurricane Katrina or the housing bubble is borderline derangement.

The Iraq war was obviously a huge blunder though.

:leon: thats reasonable

surprising that he would be the president to really kick that off. it was definitely a great first step. now we need to let the africans take care of themselves. we've put the infrastructure in place. oprah and bono can only do so much. africa, as a continent, has to make it a priority to rid the problem.

that is the saddest part of it all. we could have accomplished so much good in the Middle East after 9/11.
Arafat was donating blood to the Red Cross/Crescent on 9/11...:mindblown:

but no, instead we had Bush telling us to go shopping and showing us CGI BinLadens and releasing BinLaden mix tapes.
