When you contemplate the feud between HHH and The Rock upto that point and the professional jealousy which existed, you think Shawn makes a fair point? Yall think Rock used to try and steal the spotlight from Hunter?

Its no secret that many felt that HHH deserved that mainevent spot in early 1999 over the Rock so it would be interesting to see what people here think.

How does bringing up Rock and HHH in a segment where Booker T is kicked out from the nwo make any sense?

Also everyone knows that Michaels was one of those who was suggesting HHH to be in the mainvent spot over the rock

IDk about steal. I'm sure he tried to upstage HHH and vice versa, and Rock was the more over guy. It's not like HHH didn't get a ton of opportunity and push.

In early 99? I dont think that report about HBK lobbying for HHH vs Austin at WM 15 is even real. HHH was clearly not as over as Rock at the time, probably not as over as Mankind either. From what I've heard the actual story was HBK lobbying to Vince that the main event of 15 needed to be a singles match with Austin vs Rock or Austin vs Mankind, and not a 3 way of those 3.
