it's THE ROCK tho, i'd love to see him work as a heel, but don't see it happening
hhh is a face but it's clear the crowd chose taker over him

I cant think of a good kickoff for why Taker and Rock would start something..Rock has had bigger matches and impact on Mania than Taker. In icon mode, it just doesnt add up UNLESS Rock heels on him out of the blue. The Rock does a checklist deal now..he's already beaten Taker for titles. He would want something historical in one of his last matches(first match with Punk, first Elimination Chamber)
Fam......

Rock vs Hogan is bigger than Taker's whole career. Dont get caught up in the WWE hype...the streak is just a storyline.
He's not wrong, Bill Simmons wrote a ESPN.com article about it back in the day. I doubt he would do that for any of Taker's WrestleMania matches:
ESPN.com: Page 2 : No faking drama of WrestleMania
Too say that 1 match means more to Wrestlemania than ALL of the Undertaker's Matches are just foolish. Undertaker "Retired" Shawn Michaels, Id Say That's On The Same Level If Not Bigger Than Rock/Hogan

Shawn Michaels is not seen on the Hogan/Austin level. Get real...he's the guy who screwed over Bret Hart and feigned injuries. Why do you think they bring up his workrate all the time? Because when it came to what counts, he didnt matter. His retirement means as much as the fictional WWE HOF that exists only in Vince's head. They never do a Did you know on the New Generation. Why would they? It was str8 up garbage except for Razor.
OK perphaps R=G phrased that the wrong way the point being that before Cena-Rock last year, their wasn't a bigger match on a mainstream level than Rock-Hogan. This was the first real dream match that the WWF pull over after the Invasion angle ended. It delivered a legendary match just from crowd atmosphere and two of the best at working the crowd.
As long as we admit hogan/austin wouldve sole about 500k more
