The Rock is reportedly set to be the lead in his first Martin Scorsese film, and the cast is packing a punch.
new Deadline report that says “multiple bids are either on the table or are fast mobilizing” for an untitled movie directed by Martin Scorsese that stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Emily Blunt, and The Rock. The film will be written by Nick Bilton and is described as something of a cross between Goodfellas and The Departed, focusing on the rise of a powerful mob boss and his crime empire in 1960’s and 1970’s Hawaii.


Johnson and Blunt worked together on the upcoming film "Smashing Machine," and the report indicates they brought the idea to Scorsese and DiCaprio personally.
