House Of Lies Season 2 Promos Reintroduce Don Cheadle's Marty Kaan

Despite what many considered to be a rocky first season, Showtime's House of Lies still managed to get renewed for a second, as well as nab an Emmy nomination for lead actor Don Cheadle. To be fair, his nod was even well-deserved; in fact, the entire ensemble always performed above and beyond the material. Many shows take some time to find their footing, so perhaps the rest of the show can rise to meet the quality of the cast come Season 2?

'House of Lies' Adds Larenz Tate, Nia Long for Season 2 - Hollywood Reporter

The workplace-consultant drama starring Emmy nominee Don Cheadle has booked Larenz Tate (Rescue Me) and Nia Long (Third Watch) for recurring roles in its sophomore season, Showtime said Tuesday.

Tate will play Marty's (Cheadle) younger, less ambitious activist brother, while Long will play a fellow consultant and former classmate of Marty's who proves to be a formidable foe.

Season 2 premieres January 13th.

Probably wouldn't happen but I hope that black chick comes back, the one that Marty was dating midway thru the 1st season before he and his ex-wife fukked it all up. She was beautiful and actually brought stability to Marty's family life, esp for his son.

It got better as the season pregressed, though it started really shakey. Only reason I was hanging on was because it was on right after Shameless and wasn't shyt on. Now I'm genuinely interested in what happens in season 2. Hope Nia Long gets naked .

This is real coliesque of me but DC acts like a c00n and an uncle tom on this show. and his son being gay? I havent seen a scene where he (DC) is ******ish, or empowering. Chalky White has some scenes that make you want to hold up the fist and be proud. DC's character is a shame, could be replaced by Seth Rogen, Hugh Grant or David Schwimmer and not miss a beat. Where do you think the homosexuality would have come from? You dont think the son chose to be gay did you? I mean certainly his character is written to be gay but as far as having a gay son from an uncle tom dad where do you think some screws fell out of the machine?

hell even with all the alleged flaws i enjoyed the shyt outta the show. don cheadle and you already know him and nia gonna be goin at each other! :fight: lol

Excellent show, has a bit of everything not a lot of shows like this on tv.If I had one gripe tho its the jewish dude.His screen presence, acting style and character kind of hurts the show

so being an educated, successful, power hungry management consultant is acting like an uncle tom/c00nish? what exactly does don cheadle do on the show that can be deemed demeaning to blax? u have no clue what an uncle tom is do u.And if u are going to point to that scene where he double crossed a brotha then u have never worked in a dog eat dog environment where u are required to meet targets b4
