However, Home Alone 1/2, Gone Fishin, LW movies and Raging Bull show the opposite so.......

A Good actor will make you forget who he is. Its so good you get lost in the character. Joe pesci is Joe pesci in every movie .

I disagree. Some actors have such presence that you have to literally disguise them in order to get that effect.

I can easily watch any movie of his, Sam Jackson, Jack Nick, or any other great actor typecast as being 1-dimensional and get into their character.

Their recongnizability (that is not a word) can't be helped.

Its not like he's not getting offers. He's apparently super fukking selective. Louis CK wrote a character for him on his latest show and he turned it down after Louis CK had a private meeting at Joe's house to show him the script and see if he would do it, he told him the writing was very good and that he wouldn't do it. I don't think he's one dimensional at all. He has classic comedic and dramatic roles.

That's just how I see it but don't get me wrong I ain't saying he's a terrible actor. That would just be hating and stupid
