Was SG-1 hiding the truth this entire time? When Captain Carter made that quip about the Dark Ages holding back human advancement I agreed with at first. (I didn't know any better at the time). But after learning about the Golden Age of Islam and how Islam brought Europe out of the Dark Ages, that line now got me like :minister:. It seems like Africans were the Ancients and the Europeans were the Goa'uld. Jaffa were still the enslaved Africans.
