It's apparently based on this Pulitzer Prize winning book by the same title from Daniel Yergin (1990).
It talks about oil and it's impact and influence on people, wars and global politics from the days of Rockefeller up to the present time (or at least up until 1990 when the book was published.)
I find this stuff fascinating. But I'm a bit of a nerd.
Narrated by Donald Sutherland.
I'll be clear that the documentary isn't amazing in the first episode or two. But once they get into the politics of WW1 and WW2, I feel it gets to be pretty good.
