How you gonna make this thread and then not say anything?

Jay did all the talking.

I'm a 96 nikka, so Reasonable Doubt holds a different place with me than most nikkas that caught it later.

One thing that stuck out for me with him even way back then was the lofty shyt he was talking and the way he spoke like he really had all that shyt.

Mind you, this was during a time when it was known rappers just got on the mic and talked fly.

Any halfway intelligent nikka was just supposed to know Special Ed didn't really have none of the shyt he said he had in "I Got it Made", but it sounded fly and opened nikkas minds up to new possibilities.

The difference with Jay is, I've been listening to this nikka say all this shyt for 25 years now, with adult ears and similar life experiences that helped me catch most of the intricacies in the talk from jump, and I can unbiasedly say, damn near everything he said he was going to do, he did it.

Everything he said he did, he did.

You gotta respect that as a man, whether you agree with the minor details of how he did what he did or not.

I can't say that about any other rapper except Master P and E-40.

Yup, Jay is different

For all of his flaws, borderline everything he said, he did.

Jay is an alchemist. That mindset is just different.
