The biggest problem is the lack of evolution
Vader died about 30 years before the force awakens and the technology hasn't advanced at all.

I was watching thor ragnorak and that movie did a better job with space tech an exploration then any of the new star wars movies to the point where If you put the star wars characters in thor ragnorak space world they would be completely out of place which should never happen

They tried to expand force power use but failed to explain how these new abilities came about.

If kevin fiege can marry thor ragnorak with revenge of sith style jedi and sith rivalry we may really may have something great.

The bold is the only part I disagree with. They never have really explained how THE FORCE works in the MOVIES. Now in the books/expanded lore they have. But the movies they basically ask you to go with it, and understand, that Jedi and Sith lords have these powers. Which is fine.

All we need to know is that the Jedi powers have grown etc. No need for a long explanation on that. Now, we did need to see more training, but that's another discussion.
